Get started

Setup takes about 20 minutes, and you only do it once.

  • Create your vault

    A private GitHub repo for your notes, plus an optional AGENTS.md that tells your AI how you like things. 5 minutes.

  • Install the GitHub App

    Give Unibrain access to that one repo, and nothing else. 2 minutes.

  • Request access

    Unibrain is invite-only during early access. 2 minutes, then a short wait.

  • Open the web app

    Sign in with GitHub and add it to your phone's home screen. 2 minutes.

  • Connect your AI

    Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Hermes or any MCP client. 2 minutes each.

What you need

  • A GitHub account. The free plan is fine.
  • At least one AI app that supports MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT (a paid plan is needed for custom connectors), Claude Code, Hermes, or another MCP client.

That's it. There's nothing to install on your computer.

Already have notes in GitHub?

If you keep an Obsidian vault or a folder of Markdown notes in a GitHub repo, use that repo. Unibrain works with it as it is.
